SON CALLS FOR QUALITY VIDEO CONTENT AT THE 2019 WORLD STANDARDS DAY
As the world celebrates this year’s world standards day, Minister of Trade and Industry, Maryam Katagum is challenging Stakeholders in the field of video technology in Nigeria to explore ways of creating more investment and job opportunities in Nigeria via the advancement in video technology standards.
Katagum made the call at the 2019 world standard day symposium in Abuja.
According to her, the theme of the celebration, ‘Video standards create a global stage” is apt as stakeholders across various sectors in Nigeria need to discuss how video standards can further benefit the global stage of which we all belong.
Lending support to the theme of the celebration, Director-General of Standard Organization of Nigeria, Osita Abolome said gains in both the sophistication and accessibility of video are built on the development and application of International Standards.
Abolome, however, admonishes Nigerians to join the Quality Vanguard by promoting self-regulation and demanding for quality at all times.
